Windows through Steam is the official launch platform, and official guidance supports gamepads. Steam Deck is not currently Verified, SteamOS is not guaranteed, and no macOS or Linux version is planned.

Use the Steam store requirements to check a Windows PC against the listed baseline. For a handheld setup, treat Steam Deck use as an individual compatibility experiment instead of a supported-platform promise.
What Does Not Work
Do not present a player report from a demo or playtest as current official Steam Deck support. Do not assume SteamOS, macOS, or Linux availability from gamepad support alone.
